At art school I studied traditional forms of Printmaking. Subsequent art practice has involved drawing, painting and the application of digital media as extending the visual language achieved by traditional printmaking processes. Work observes and responds to transformation through climate change and human intervention within the north-east landscape.
Working in collaboration with a ceramicist, TransFORM provides a new context to explore and test the process of constructing an image using relief and drawing directly onto three-dimensional ceramic objects.
The resultant work will aim to celebrate the visual pleasure man-made objects give us, by accident or design.
